Ferencvaros will face AS Monaco FC in UEFA Europa League Group H home match on Thursday, the 27th of October. The match will take place at Groupama Arena stadium in Budapest. Kick-off is at 21.00 CET. 

 

Monaco is one of the most successful clubs in French football, having won eight league titles, five Coupe de France trophies and one Coupe de la Ligue.  The club is among the best in European football, and were runners-up in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1992 and the UEFA Champions League in 2004. 

AS Monaco ended the 2021/22 season third, qualifying to the UEFA Champions League qualifications where they were beaten by PSV Eindhoven 3-4 on aggregate. Managed by Philippe Clement, Monaco is currently third in Group H with 6 points after 4 matches. Ferencvaros won their first match against Monaco 1-0. In France's Ligue 1, the team is currently 7th, with 21 points after the first 12 matches. On Sunday, Monaco lost their away match against Lille 3-4. 

 

This is the third match of Ferencvaros coach Stanislav Cherchesov against Monaco - apart from the Europa League match earlier this autumn, he already managed to beat Monaco once - when Dynamo Moscow won an international friendly against Monaco 1-0 at Stade Louis II on July 10, 2015. That was also Mr. Cherchesov's last match as Dynamo Moscow coach.
