Ferencvaros will face Ujpest FC in a Budapest derby on Sunday, the 4th of September. The match will take place at Szusza Ferenc stadium in Budapest. Kick-off is at 17.30 CET.

Ujpest FC have been Hungarian champions twenty times, and have won the Magyar Kupa eleven times. The team is currently in the last position in the table with 3 points after 5 matches, 9 points behind Ferencvaros.

 

This is going to be the 292nd match between Ferencvaros and Ujpest FC. Of the previous 291 matches, Ferencvaros won 144, Ujpest won 77 and 70 matches ended in draw. This is also the third match against Ujpest with Stanislav Cherchesov as Ferencvaros coach. Ferencvaros won the previous two matches 1-0, on January 30, and 2-1 on April 24. 

 

It should also be noted that Stanislav Cherchesov crossed paths with Ujpest FC coach and former Rostov defender Miloš Kruščić outside Hungary as well. They first played against each other on September 21, 2002 when Cherchesov was appearing for Spartak Moscow as the goalkeeper. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. The second time they crossed paths was on July 1, 2007 when Mr. Cherchesov was coaching Spartak Moscow. Spartak won 3-1 that day.
